Previous Work Experience

Before graduating from college in 2001, I completed my Recreation Therapy internship at a grade 1-12 school for children with severe emotional disturbances. I provided individual and group Recreation Therapy and Physical Education for students at the school.

My first career was in Aquatics. I owned a swim school for over a decade. I worked as an Aquatic Recreation Therapist, Aquatic Exercise Instructor, Special Olympics Swim Team Coach, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, and Adapted Aquatics Instructor. I received training in Watsu, Halliwick, Aquatic Integration, and Ai Chi aquatic therapy modalities. I trained lifeguards and swim instructors for my swim school, as well as for other aquatic programs. I also taught CPR, AED, and First Aid classes for the American Red Cross.

My second career was as a Holistic Personal Chef. I cooked for clients in their homes and taught cooking classes. My culinary focus was on gut-healing diets, gluten/grain-free baked goods, fermented foods and drinks, bone broth, and herbal remedies.

Throughout my life, I worked in the helping field as a babysitter, nanny, respite care provider, companion, and caregiver. I gained experience in tracheostomy care, colostomy care, wound care, G-tube care, and NJ tube care from these work experiences.

For over a decade, I volunteered at an elementary school, teaching songs, games, and physical movement activities to children.

I have over 20 years of experience working with clients affected by autism, developmental disabilities, mobility challenges, neurological disorders, autoimmune disease, respiratory disorders, cancer, blindness, vision impairment, deafness, hard of hearing, brain injury, epilepsy, speech disorders, intellectual disabilities, sensory processing disorders, mental health challenges, and trauma.

Random Facts About Tiffany

  • My superpower is going slow. I nicknamed myself "Psychedelic Snail" because the slower I go, the more magical I become. As a highly sensitive person and empath, this superpower suits me well.
  • I have a ten-pound fluffy white poodle mix – named Ginger – who is my co-healer. We find great medicine from daily sunbathing on the grass together. Ginger loves to cuddle and has a gift for supporting people experiencing emotional or physical unease.
  • I am an ally for people who are marginalized and oppressed. I value listening, inclusivity, and connection. BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and other marginalized or oppressed people are welcomed and embraced in my personal and professional lives.
  • Body positivity and sex positivity are an integral part of my life. This helps me create shame-free spaces to normalize and de-pathologize the human experience.
  • I love herbalism and have deep gratitude for all forms of life that sustain health and well-being. "Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food." - Hippocrates
  • Chocolate is one of my favorite food groups. (I know it's not a real food group, but saying it makes me giggle).
  • My core values are Love, Connection, Authenticity, Play, Integrity, and Growth.
